A $320 million sidechain exploit and three separate moves to expand leveraged and tokenized markets defined the week.
↳ Roughly 4,000 Bitcoin left Blockstream's Liquid federation wallet, leaving 197 behind. No private keys were stolen — a bug in the Elements software enabled the peg-out. The sidechain is paused.
↳ Polymarket launched perpetual futures with up to 20x leverage, scaling from 10 to 67 markets on day one across crypto, stocks, indices and commodities.
↳ Coinbase filed Form 1-N and Form BD-N with the SEC to list single-stock perpetual futures in the US. CFTC approval is still required. COIN shares rose 10%.
↳ The SEC proposed its first transfer agent overhaul in 40 years, which would let blockchains serve as the official record of share ownership.
